About Us

Pathway for Livelihoods Initiatives Kenya (PLIKEN) is a registered non-profit organization founded out of compassion and a deep desire to see vulnerable children, youth, and families in Kenya live with dignity and hope.

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive — and that empowered families form the foundation for stronger communities.

What We Do

At PLIKEN, we believe in nurturing lives through holistic care, education, empowerment, and mentorship. Our programs focus on transforming vulnerable children and families in Shauri Moyo and its surrounding communities (Majengo, Pumwani, Eastleigh), as well as in other parts of Kenya, by addressing their needs at every stage of growth.

Education Sponsorship

Sponsorship helps children from impoverished communities access quality education, breaking the cycle of poverty and transforming communities over time.

Confidence Kit & Mentorship Program

Our PLIKEN Confidence Kit Program empowers both girls and boys during adolescence—a critical stage of identity and self-worth. We mentor children to build resilience, confidence, and focus on their academic goals.

Holistic Child Development (KUZA)

The program provides a safe space and holistic care for vulnerable children starting from age 3, fostering early development to nurture personalities that inspire hope and help them thrive.

Women Empowerment & Skills Development

We believe family transformation begins with empowering mothers.
