The Aunty is a widow with five young children, she unable to provide consistent meals for her dependents, forcing all of them to survive on one meal a day. Fidel needs financial support for his education, upkeep, and stable food to achieve his future dreams.

David Oriwo is 7 years old and in grade one at Muthurwa primary school, he is a cheerful boy who loves reading and writing, David is the firstborn in his family and has a younger sister, his father, and only breadwinner died when David was 5 years leaving behind their who does casual jobs to earn income. From the beginning of the year, David was forced to stay at home due to a lack of tuition fees before PLIKEN stepped in to help him clear the tuition arrears and continue with his education. Tamara is an eloquent and cheerful girl, she dreams of becoming a teacher one day, she loves school because that is where she meets new friends and learns. Tamara is the younger sibling to David Oriwo, whose father and the breadwinner of the family passed on, their mum survives on casual work that is not stable hence unable to raise tuition fees and basic needs for her children. With financial assistance Tamara will be able to get quality education and upkeep support she needs to achieve her full potential.

Maurice Juma is a boy aged 7 years, in grade 3, he lives with his mother and younger sister in the Shauri Moyo slums. Maurice loves creative arts and aspires to be an artist in the future. His mother who is a single mum, works as a casual laborer where she earns an income of Ksh. 4,000 per month. Due to her low income, she is unable to pay Maurice’s school fees. The house they are living in is not in good condition, when it rains the roof leaks, and at night it’s too cold hence affecting their health. With financial assistance, Maurice’s dream of becoming an artist can be realized as well as provide his family hopes for a better future.

Halima’s mother, damped her by the roadside and luckily she was rescued and later united with her grandmother, who is a widow with 5 children. Halima’s mother a teenager, cut off communication and no one knows where she is. The grandmother depends on her older child who does casual work for support and is unable to enroll Halima in school due to lack of finances. With Financial aid towards her education, Halima will be able to join school and dream of a better future.

Abraham Njeki is 7 years old, attends schools at Merrueshi Primary School and he is in grade one. He is the last born in his family and has other 5 siblings. He loves football, reading books, and dancing, and he wishes to become a radio presenter when he grows up. The mother who is a widow, has been sickly due to complications that developed from the c-section wound. She is unable to work and hence depends on the income earned by the older sibling who dropped out of school to help take care of their family’s needs. From the income, the family is unable to pay Abraham’s tuition fees forcing him to lag in his education. Blessing Njoki is 8 years old and goes to Our Lady of Mercy primary school in grade one. She is the only child of her single mother who is a casual laborer. Blessing is a special child with speech inability but can coordinate and follow the instructions given. Due to her special needs, she is unable to achieve much in a normal school, Her mother would like to enroll her in a special school where she can be coached well as per her special needs, however, the tuition fees for the special school is very high which the mother cannot afford. Blessings seeks financial support to help her acquire the education that is suitable for her needs.

With financial assistance towards his education fees and supplies, Amir has a bright future that will allow him to achieve his goals.

Garvey Ochien Otieno is 8years old, in grade one at Bright star Primary school.He is a jovial and friendly boy who loves school, he is the first child in his family and has two siblings. Garvey lives with his father and mother, however, the father who is the only breadwinner, was involved in a road accident and injured his legs which affected his mobility. The accident necessitated reconstructive surgeries that wiped out all the family savings. Garvey’s father is yet to recover thus the family depends on income from the casual work the mother does once in a while. The situation has made Garvey and his siblings not able to attend school and /or have a decent meal. Garvey requires financial assistance to help him cater to his education needs and upkeep.

He lives with his mother and his aunt who has three kids in Shauri Moyo slums.His mother is a grocery vendor (mama mboga) who earns a little from the small business. She struggles to raise enough income to support her family forcing Morgan to drop out of school at a tender age. Morgan loves playing football and aspires to be a footballer at one point when he grows up. To be able to achieve his dreams, Morgan needs financial assistance to pay his school fees, buy school supplies like notebooks, pencils, uniform, and shoes and at least get adequate food to enable him to live a healthy life

Natalia Adhiambo is a 6-year-old girl in pre-primary 2 at Braquille School. She is outgoing and loves coloring, drawing, and reading. Natalia dreams of becoming a teacher.
Her mother is unemployed, and her father’s unstable job at a car wash makes it hard to pay for her school fees and necessities.
