Stella Kalunde, a Grade 5 student at Our Lady of Nazareth school from Shauri Moyo, is a bright and talented young girl with a passion for singing. Despite her gifts, she faced challenges that could have limited her potential, especially in accessing consistent education. Her life took a positive turn when she joined PLIKEN’s Kuza Program. Through the program, her school fees are covered, ensuring she is never sent home for lack of tuition fees and school requirements. With this support, Stella has been able to stay in school and focus on her studies, and she is now performing well academically. In her own words, Stella expresses her gratitude: “Through PLIKEN, I have learned many things like respect, obedience, sharing, and also about God. I am also happy because my school fees are paid, I have not been chased from school, and I am now able to pass my exams.”
Stella’s story reflects not only the relief of financial support but also the holistic impact of the KUZA program, nurturing character, faith, academic success, and confidence. With her talent, bright spirit, and the opportunities she now has, Stella’s future shines with promise.
